Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate or CEE is a recently developed creatine-based dietary supplement, it is very similar in effect to its predecessor Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL (CEE), but has a much better taste and appears to have fewer side effects at high doses than CEE. Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate has been reported to cause fewer cases of stomach upset and bloating than CEE.
CEEM is creatine monohydrate with an attached ester. This ester attachment is significant because esters are found in the adipose tissue of animals. Esterification of substances increases their lipophilic properties, the property of using adipose tissue as a transport mechanism. Thus, esterified creatine will use fat to penetrate the cell wall much more effectively and its effect on cell functions will work much more significantly than with its counterpart, ordinary non-esterified creatine monohydrate. The malate modification then takes the potential of CEEM to the next level. CEEM increases the level of ATP and thus significantly improves the regeneration and restoration of energy in the muscles.
Creatine increases physical performance during successive short intervals of high-intensity physical performance. A beneficial effect is achieved with the supply of (at least) 3 g of creatine per day.
