L-lysine is an essential amino acid that is found mainly in animal products. This amino acid is of exceptional importance for the biosynthesis of proteins and, therefore, for the construction of the body’s own protein structures (collagen, teeth, bones and muscles). Targeted and successful treatment of herpes requires the administration of 1500 mg of L-lysine per day, if possible in the form of a pure substance.
