The medicine Otinum is used only locally in the ear. The drug is intended for use in adults.
The recommended dosage is:
• For short-term treatment of local symptoms of acute otitis externa: usually 3 to 4 drops in the external ear canal every 6 to 8 hours. Do not use Otinum for more than 3 days without a doctor’s advice.
• To soften hardened wax before removing it from the ear: Usually 3 to 4 drops into the external ear canal every 12 hours for four days.
Other indications for administration of Otinum:
1. Having another person introduce the medicine or using a mirror can make administration easier.
2. Be careful not to get water into the previously applied ear.
3. Otinum should not be shared with anyone else.
