Lactulose-MIP is a drug in the form of syrup, which is used for the prevention and treatment of hepatic encephalopathy in liver failure (portal systemic encephalopathy); for the treatment of constipation (constipation), which is not affected by diet and/or other recommended hygienic-dietary regimen and regulation of the physiological rhythm of the colon, as well as, if necessary, soft stools (hemorrhoids, colon surgery).
Dosage and method of administration
Recommended dosage: for constipation:
Adults 10-45 ml
Children 7-14 years old – 10-15 ml.
Children 1-6 years old – 5-10 ml.
Infants – 5 ml for liver failure:
Adults – after an initial daily dose of 10–15 ml, the dose should be increased to 30–45 ml, divided into 3–4 doses per day.
Children – not recommended for use in children with liver disease.
Contraindications

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitivity) to the active substance and/or any of the excipients.
