Fenistil gel is a medicine that is used to relieve itching associated with various skin reactions:
skin rash,
hives,
insect bites,
sun and superficial burns.
Fenistil gel contains an active ingredient belonging to a group of drugs called antihistamines.
Fenistil gel reduces itching by blocking the action of histamine, a substance that is released in the body during an allergic reaction. Since it penetrates well into the skin, itching and skin irritation quickly disappear within a few minutes.
Fenistil gel also has a local anesthetic effect.
Dosage and method of administration
Recommended dosage:
Apply 2-4 times daily to affected areas.
Do not use the gel for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
