Dexoket is a pain reliever that belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
It is used to treat mild to moderate pain such as muscle pain, toothache, and menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea).
If you do not feel better within 3-4 days or feel run down, you should see a doctor.
The use of Dexocket in children and adolescents has not been studied. Therefore, its safety and effectiveness have not been established and this product should not be prescribed to children and adolescents.
Dexocket with food and drink.
The tablets should be taken with plenty of water. Take the tablets with food to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects. However, in case of acute pain, the tablets should be taken on an empty stomach, i.e. at least 30 minutes before meals, as then the medicine may act a little faster.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
Do not take Dexocket during the last three months of pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Directions for use and dosage.
The lowest effective dose should be administered for the shortest period of time necessary to relieve symptoms of the disease. If you have an infectious disease, call your doctor immediately if symptoms (such as fever and pain) persist or worsen.
The recommended dose is usually 1 tablet (25 mg) every 8 hours, and do not take more than 3 tablets per day (75 mg).
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better within 3-4 days or if you feel worse. Your doctor will tell you how many tablets you should take each day and how long you should take them for. The required dose of Dexocket depends on the type, severity and duration of pain.
If you are an elderly person or suffer from kidney or liver disease, treatment should begin with a total daily dose of no more than 2 tablets per day (50 mg).
If Dexocket is well tolerated by elderly patients, the initial dose can be increased to the usual recommended dose (75 mg).
If you have severe pain and need faster relief, you should take the tablets on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before meals) as they are then better absorbed.

dexketoprofen (as dexketoprofen trometamol). One film-coated tablet contains dexketoprofen 25 mg.
