A diaphragm (vaginal pessary) or a cervical cap (FemCap) is always safely used with a gel (e.g. Contragel green), which is placed in the membrane. Contragel green uses methyl cellulose to form a mechanical barrier in front of the cervix and reduces the pH value. The sperm are immobilized. The cervix is closed (glued). A proven diaphragm gel that has been manufactured and used in this composition since 1972.
