General measures to prevent new stone formation
• Due to sufficient hydration (2.5 to 3 l a day)
• Due to a healthy varied diet with reduced amounts of animal protein (stone-specific nutritional recommendations can be done by the Blemaren-Service Aristo Pharma requested will)
• Regular sporting activities such as cycling, gardening, climbing stairs and walking stairs
• Weight normalization
Uric acid stones (frequency approx. 10-15%)
Only uric acid stones can be dissolved by drug alkalization of urine (e.g. with blemars n) and the new formation prevented.
Test your urine pH with blemastrip! A consistently low urine pH value of less than 5.8 is a typical feature of the uric acid stone patients. The test with blemastrip is very simple and enables the urine PH value to be determined immediately. Blemastrip is available in every pharmacy.
Calcium stones (frequency approx. 70-80%)
Calium stones cannot be dissolved with medication.
Alkalizrates (e.g. blemars n) can prevent new formation of remaining fragments for calcium stones.
