The ointment is applied in a thin layer to clean, dry skin 3-4 times a day. In the case of a severely inflamed or festering wound, the ointment can be applied 4-6 times a day. The intervals between individual doses should be at least 4 hours. The wound can be covered with a bandage as needed depending on the extent and severity of the injury. Treatment may take several days. Do not use Betadine ointment for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
